A Girl and Her Couch?

Some shots of me, my favorite outfit, and...my..couch? Um...so not professional. Anyways, if I could be like the Flintstones and have 20 of this outfit for me to wear everyday that would..get boring! Ha! But seriosly, I wouldn't mind wearing this outfit for maybe 3 days straight....I would even wear it longer if it varied in color maybe? Like different colored shorts...one each of every color of the rainbow of course.

 I admit this is unhealthy.

My dear in the headlights look.

Double Exposure Vol. 1

If you know me, you know that I am obsessed with my Instax Camera. Generally I am obsessed with the pictures it creates. These tiny little keep sake treasures are all over my dresser in their emptied film cartridge frame. They fill DIY photo albums and non DIY photo albums. I can give a crap about the pics I take with my Samsung Galaxy S4. But these little Instax pictures are my hearts desire.
I've been into photography as long as I can remember. I remember my first camera. A long hot pink rectangular shaped 35 mm. I remember getting real serious with photography when I was in high school. I got my first SLR camera when I was 20, a 35 mm Canon. From there I tried to start a wedding photography business. I started out shooting with 35 mm and then I was introduced to digital. I got my Canon EOS 30 D SLR and away I went. Digital is the way to go if you're a wedding photographer.
My archives exploded with images. From an image of a truck driver driving to flowers to a beautiful lady in a wedding dress to punk rock concert photos, the imagery on my hard drive can now be considered fodder for the hungry painter looking for reference material to paint with or to digitally manipulate (photoshop) into paintings to be done by factory workers in China for pennies to turn a profit in his gallery in Beverly Hills for thousands of dollars. My, that was a long run on sentence. Oh well, my mind is a run on sentence.
Anyways I've long since given up the wedding photography and now I simply shoot for my art. I shoot what I want. Digital got boring though. Then one day I met Fuji. Ah Fuji Film, you created a master piece when you created the Instax camera. I thank you. It was love at first sight. My first Instax camera was a primary colored (favorite colors) model 25 adorned with Hello Kitty (also obsessed with Hello Kitty, thats another story to be posted). It was a great camera. The images turned out gloriously clear and crisp. Not a lot of features. I needed to expand. Just when I started to get bored with my Hello Kitty Instax 25, Fuji Film introduced the Neo 90. Just reading about the features on this camera made my heart skip a beat. Now you see what I mean when I say Im obsessed!
My Neo 90 takes double exposures. Its my most favorite feature amongst its vast array of features. What is a double exposure? Two images exposed onto one piece of film. Here are the first few of many. Hence the title of this post.

This first one is of my pup Marley. When I went to snap the second exposure she got up. Its kinda blurry cause its not pressed all the way onto the scanner glass cause of the cartridge frame. In real life its a nice clean shot.

This little dear is Ezra. She is so wild and reminds me of my pup. She is like a blonde mini version of Marley.

These guys are Rocco and Jax. Jax is the little one with the cone! My camera scared Rocco which is what made the second exposure and Jax was the curious one.

Palm trees and a sunset.

One pig, two pig.

This is a martini with a glass of sangria. See it? The top of this post you see the same thing at a different angle but it was the first attempt that didn't turn out so well cause of the lighting.

I'm telling you the features on this camera are amaze balls. And no, Fuji Film is not paying me to say these things. I'm seriously just a huge fan.

Mod In a Cemetery

Here Im wearing my mothers dress circa 1960 something. I love this dress. Its a wrap style dress that is just super comfy. I don't normally wear dresses. Im not a dress person. But every now and then I'll get this itch to wanna get girly. It's super rare. I'm really picky about my dresses too. It has to be super cute and comfy and the occasion has to call for it. I say super a lot. Anyways, in these photos the occasion was "get fancy with my girlfriends and take pictures in the Cemetery". It was a perfect Cali sunshine day.

Photo Shoot with Sugar and Babe Clothing

Here are some pics from a test shoot I did in January. The brand is a Japanese clothing line called Sugar and Babe. You can find the brand at Wet Seal soon...I think...and what I'm wearing is just for the test shoot not for sale...I think!! The photographer is Michael Anthony Hermogeno 8x10proofs (follow him on Instagram! instagram/8x10proofs). It was a lot of fun and the theme we were going for was "street/skater/punk".

Here is the Sugar and Babe website: http://www.sugarandbabe.com

It's been a while

I'm new to this blog thing...so I don't update as much as I should. I guess it's weird for me knowing I'm writing something that not many people will see...so it's like I'm talking to a wall. I could use some encouragement!
Anyways...I recently have been working with a photographer named Bradley Laurent (look for him on twitter!!). He and I are Polaroid and Instax (Fuji Film) geeks! So here are some shots!
